As a sequel of “The Hunger Games”(2012), in this part, we see after the victory of the 74th Hunger Games, President Snow comes to visit Katniss and tells her to go on a Victory Tour. Snow forces her to convince them that what Katniss has done was out of love not against the Capitol otherwise, District 12 along with her family, friends would suffer. And to suppress the revolution, he announces the third “Quarter Quell” where tributes had been selected from former victors.
Katniss and Peeta participate in the game for the second time. In the end, Katniss and Finnick, another participant, can get out of the arena, but Peeta fails, which makes Katniss very grumpy.
Besides maintaining the standard of the first one, this part adds even more exciting elements than the previous. The arena is a large forest in which there is a saltwater lake in the center. Following the former two stories, this movie starts with the scene where Katniss is taken to District 13, an underground district different from Panem. Alma Coin, rebel leader, the president of this district, asks Katniss to become “Mockingjay”, a sign of rebellion. At first, she refuses, but when she sees the videos of manipulation of Peeta she agrees. When Snow gets to know about the revolution through footage he commands for an airstrike.
On the other side Katniss and her team travel district to district to unite people for rebelling. In the end, surprisingly the rescue mission works to save Peeta and other victors easily. But it is found that Peeta has been “hijacked” and indoctrinated to kill Katniss, which clears the reason behind the capitol’s allowance to escape them.
The final book of Hunger Games has been completed into two movie parts. Action and state crafts have been balanced surely, but the movie fails to attract the audience by moving far from the Hunger Games. It also fails to keep the thriller as much as the first two do. It also gives us a spacious look into the life of the shadowed people of Panem.

It is the last movie from the list of the hunger games movies. Continuing the story of the before part, we can see here president Coin denies letting Katniss depart for the Capitol till they receive District 2 and sends her to District 2 to enter into the attack. There she gathers the rebels and succeeds in convincing the rebellions to join but gets injured by a civilian. After that, the team proceeds to rebel against Snow while confessing many difficulties in the way. In the middle of that, a bombing strike takes the life of Prim, Katniss’s sister, and bangs Katniss senseless.
Upon awakening, Katniss learns that the rebels have finally won and Snow is taken prisoner by the rebels. Talking to Snow, Katniss confirms that the bombing has been planned by Coin to provoke his followers against him. In the end, Katniss kills Coins instead of Snow, and citizens lynch and terminate Snow. A few years later, the story ends with the scene where Katniss tells her and Peeta’s two children about the story of their time in the Games.
