Nawazuddin started his career with the Sarfarosh (1999) movie where he played the character of a criminal. However, he gained international recognition for his work in movies like Black Friday (2007), the Gangs of Wasseypur (2012), and Raman Raghav 2.0 (2016). Besides, Siddiqui also appeared in many web series, including McMafia (2018), Sacred Games (2019), The Maya Tape (2020), and Roam Roam Mein (2021).

Nawazuddin Siddiqui was born in a small town in Muzaffarnagar district, Uttar Pradesh, India. His father’s name was Late Nawabuddin Siddiqui who was a farmer. His mother’s name is Mehroonisa Siddiqui. Nawazuddin is the eldest son of eight siblings. In 2009, he married Anjana Kishor Pandey but things go against them and the duo got separated in 2020.
Education
Nawazuddin Siddiqui completed his graduation from the Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar. Before entering the film industry, he worked as a chemist in Vadodara for a year. Later, he moved to Delhi for a new job. In Delhi, after watching a play, he took interested in acting and get admitted to the National School of Drama (NSD), Delhi. He acted in over ten plays with a group of friends in there.

Controversy
- In October 2017, actress Niharika Singh and his ex-girlfriend Sunita Rajwar filed a case against him in the local police station. According to them, Siddiqui put some false incidents in his autobiography- “An Ordinary Life: A Memoir”. Later, Siddiqui withdraws his book.
- In the same year, Sunita Rajwar who is claiming that she was Siddiqui’s first girlfriend sued him for Rs, 2 Crore. According to her, Siddiqui damages her image in his autobiography.
- In May 2020, Siddiqui’s wife Anjana Kishor Pandey send him a divorce notice. In an interview, she said that their marriage had been troubling for the past decade, and lockdown bring an opportunity to end the marriage.
