After completing his Mechanical Engineering from K.K. Wagh Engineering College, Praneet Bhat worked with a software company, Wipro. In 2002, Bhat shifted to Mumbai and did a few projects with some top modelling agencies. In 2004, he made his acting debut with the Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi Hindi serial. However, Praneet is best known for his role as Aditya in the Geet–Hui Sabse Parayi (2010), and as Shakuni Mama in the epic TV series Mahabharat (2013). During his career, Bhat was cast in numerous Hindi serials including Dill Mill Gayye, Razia Sultan, Peshwa Bajirao, Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga, Alif Laila, Jai Hanuman – Sankat Mochan Naam Tiharo, Dheere Dheere Se, and Chand Jalne Laga.
