Debottam Majumdar started his career as a Sofware Engineer and later made his footsteps into Bengali television with the Kokhono Megh Kokhono Brishti (2008) serial broadcasted on ETV Bangla. However, he came to the limelight for his role as the protagonist in Keya Patar Nouko. Besides these, he is noted for playing a father and son dual role in Binni Dhaner Khoi and as Sankalpo Chatterjee in the Star Jalsha serial Sreemoyee. Some of his other best works include Saat Paake Bandha, Jol Nupur, Tumi Robe Nirobe, Samapti from Robi Thakurer Golpo, Jiyon Kathi, and Khorkuto.
