Shweta Bhattacharya debuted with the Sindoorkhela (2010) serial where she played the character of Simontini Sen aka Moni. In the same year, she was cast in the Star Jalsha TV show @Bhalobasha.com in which she played the supporting role of Mithi. The serial rose her to fame and she subsequently appeared in the series Tumi Robe Nirobe aired on Zee Bangla. She was seen in the lead role of Jhumko in the serial.
