Storyline
Muddulakshmi is a sweet and dark-skinned girl who always taunts her skin colour. Doctor Dhruvant, a cardiac surgeon, falls in love with her and marries her. Dhruvant’s mother, Soundarya, first dislikes her but eventually accepts Muddulakshmi. Meanwhile, Dhruvant’s friend Sharvari loves him and tries to split Dhruvant and Muddulakshmi so that she can marry him. However, Muddulakshmi gets pregnant, and Sharvari tangles Dhruvant’s mind by alleging that it is not his baby and that Muddulakshmi has an affair. He becomes angry and encounters Muddulakshmi, leaving her.
After eight years, Muddulakshmi and Dhruvant’s twin daughters, Shrishti and Drishti, meet and become friends, unaware of their relationship. Soundarya is decided to get them together, and Sharvari plots to separate them. Finally, after many incidents, Muddulakshmi and Dhruvant reunite after a DNA test discloses that Shrishti and Drishti are Dhruvant’s daughters.
