Storyline
Prakashan is a heartless man who feels girls to be a burden. Consequently, he ignores his first daughter Kadhambari. Prakashan’s wife, Deepa, conceives for the second time, and he and his mother poisons Deepa because he cannot afford another child. The child survives but is born mute due to the effect of the poison. Prakashan and his mother are angry at the birth of a speech-deprived girl child named Kalyani. After this, Deepa again gives birth to a baby boy named Vikramadhityan. Prakashan and his mother are glad and pamper him, and they hate Kalyani and send her to sell milk.
After a few years, Kalyani became a young, talented, intelligent girl. Eventually, she meets Kiran, a city boy, and falls in love with each other. Many difficult situations come in Kalyani’s life, but the twist is how she overcomes all problems.
