Sreejita is best known for her role as Mukta Rathore in Colors TV’s popular television serial Uttaran (2012-2015). She is also popular for her character as Dilruba in Star Plus’s supernatural thriller series Nazar. Since October 2022, De participated in the Bigg Boss 16 reality show broadcasted on Colors TV.

Controversy
- As per various reports, during the shooting of the TV show Uttaran, there was a catfight between Sreejita De and Tina Datta. They behaving in an unprofessional manner. Later, in a conversation with Salman Khan, De said that she had a wonderful friendship with Tina, but when they went on a trip to Goa, she was upset with Tina’s behavior. Since then, she never talked with Tina.
