Shalin Bhanot was born on 15 November 1982. He is an Indian dancer and actor best known for his role as Keshav in Zee TV’s popular serial Naagin (2007-2009). Shalin participated in MTV Roadies 2 (2004) as a contestant. He started his film career with the Pyare Mohan (2006) movie and after that did a few films such as Devdoot (2007) and Love Ke Fundey (2016). Since, October 2022, Shalin participated in the most controversial Hindi reality show Bigg Boss 16.

Controversy
- In 2015, Shalin’s ex-wife filed a complaint against him. According to her, Shalin not only physically abused her but was also involved in extramarital affairs. In an interview, Dallijiet (Shalin’s ex-wife) said:
“Shalin physically assaulted me, and my in-laws stood as mute spectators. On 30th Nov, Shalin caught my neck and banged my head on the wall and then threw me on the furniture, and then locked me into a room for 40 minutes, until I was finally rescued by the housemaid. I took the final decision to separate from my husband when he attacked me while I was holding our newborn son”.
- In 2019, Shalin again came into the limelight when her ex-wife Daljeet Kaur accused him of not giving Rs, 1,00,000 to her as monthly maintenance. Later, the Court ordered Shalin to pay the amount. In an interview, Dalljiet said:
“They wear only branded clothes & dine at posh Five Star Hotels and Restaurants. They shop at some of the best places. They gift each other expensive gifts on birthday and other important occasions which is never less than Rs, 1,00,000. They usually travel abroad for holidays. While holidaying out, they stay only in suites in the best of hotels/ resorts. They spend extravagantly on family functions”.
