Saswata also appeared in the Mahabharata Murders (2022) web series. The audience highly appreciated his role as Bob Biswas in the Hindi movie Kahaani (2012).

• Saswata was born and brought up in Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
• His father, Late Subhendu Chatterjee, was a noted Bengali actor.
• During the early days, Saswata worked as a theatre artist for almost six years. After that, he joined his father’s theatre group Biswarupa. 
• He got national recognition after playing the character of Topshe in the Feluda series. • He also appeared in the Dil Bechara ( 2020) film starting with Late Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi. 
• During his career, Saswata won many awards, including Imphal International Short Film Festival 2012 – Best Supporting Actor for THE FORLORN’ ( 2011), Tele Cine Awards – Best Supporting Actor for Byomkesh Bakshi ( 2011),  Anandalok Award – Best Supporting Actor for Bhooter Bhabishyat ( 2012), Zee Bangla Gaurav Samman – Best Comedian for Bhooter Bhabishyat ( 2014), Best Actor in a Foreign Language Film at Madrid International Film Festival for Shironam.
