Story
Rakta Tirtha is a dark chapter in the Indian freedom movement. On 28 September 1942, the Imperial police opened fire on a gathering of freedom fighters at this place when they were protesting against the foreign rule peacefully. 29 people died during the shootout as well as 56 more were wounded in one of the worst ever mayhems perpetrated by the Colonial occupations.
